Hotel San Cristobal is a very nice water park and hotel. The pool has five water slides. The biggest water slide is like going down a mountain head first with no brakes. There is a medium slide that goes even faster. It feels like someone hanging on to the outside of an airplane while the air plane is in the air. There are to swirly slides, but there not as thrilling as the strait slides.

There are many beautiful animals there. There are two wonderful deer there. One of the deer is a rain deer. The other one is a doe. The neat thing is that people can feed the deer with their own food. There are many beautiful horses there. Some beautiful peacocks wander around the pool. Some toucans are in cages near the pool.

At the pool there are things to children’s great inters. There is a trampoline for kids to jump around on. There are big and strong hammocks there next to the trampoline. They serve food there, but it is expensive so it is good to bring a pack lunch.

The pool itself is good too. There are actually three pools there. There is a baby pool with a slide going in to the pool. Right next to it is a long pool that is about five feet deep. Then the third pool is the pool for having fun with the water slides. It’s the pool with the five refreshing water slides. That pool is a little less deep than the other long pool.

San Cristobal is a nice place to relax in the refreshing good temperature while hearing the sound of laughter. Hotel San Cristobal is two dollars and two cool. Come today for a nice refreshing day off

Situation - This is a persuasive paper about Allowances

Allowance is when you make money or get money.  Some people get allowance and some children don’t. I get allowance but I have to work for it. My choir list is mostly sweeping doing my dish and cleaning the bathroom. My room is pretty big so it is hard to clean and sweep.

Parents can choose if they want their child to work or not.   Do your parents give you allowance? If so do you work for it? You should because it would help you to train yourself at working for a job. I hope we can do allowance for awhile.

My parents chose for me to work for my money.  My parents want me to work because they don’t want me to expect something to be given to me. I would rather work for my money than get free money because it would feel wrong to me. It’s ok if they give you money sometimes for things like field trips though.

I think it’s good that you work for your money because it trains you to work and to be responsible at working and getting a job.

If I where your parents I would want you to work for your money  because if I gave you your allowance it would make me think you were lazy. Worst of all I probably wouldn’t let you drive at sixteen.

I think it’s bad not to work for your money  because you wouldn’t get to do things that you wanted to do earlier like driving or getting a job because you wouldn’t be as responsible as you would if you worked. I like to work so it’s good for me if my parents want me to work for my allowance.

You should work for your money because it trains you  to be smarter, stronger, and healthier. Also you can look back and remember that you worked for your money.

I work for my money and a lot of kids don’t and that’s ok because it’s your parent’s choice and not yours. Each parent is different and some want you to learn how to work now and some want you to figure it out on your own later. I think working for your allowance is worth it.

You may not get paid that much money but if you save it you will have a lot in the end. I am happy my parents want me to work. Some parents don’t do allowance. I didn’t do allowance for nine and a half years. It’s not bad if you don’t do allowance. My guess is that we waited until we were older. We did allowance when I was really little too.

When you get your allowance you have to have a place to keep your money. Not all people need a place to keep it because they spend it to quick. I like to save my money for bigger things. My siblings like to spend their money quick though. I keep my allowance in a special place.

Situation - what would you do if you woke up in another country and no one understood a word you said?

Once there was a furry brown and black dog. The people called him Blue. Blue lived on the streets in the city. He didn't have any owners. One day when Blue was under an old dirty tire he fell asleep. While Blue was asleep he felt dizzy. Around four o’clock pm he woke up.
But Blue wasn't under the tire, he was in the middle of nowhere!    Blue wandered around, but didn't find anything. He stared to worry where everyone was. Just then Blue herd feet coming towards him. The feet were a brownish tan color. Blue had never seen that color before.
Blue looked up and saw a man in rags. The man said in a soft small voice “Ven conmigo.”   Blue didn't know what he said but Blue followed the man in rags. The man brought Blue to colorful houses. Some of them were pink and purple or yellow and brown. Blue liked the houses. Next the man brought Blue to another house. It was a brown and yellow house with beautiful designs on the door. Blue thought maybe that was his house.
In the house there were some brown couches. After Blue walked past the couches there was a kitchen with a lot of fruit. Blue wished he lived here. Just then the man in rags put a collar on Blue and said “Vivo aqui.” The man in rags showed Blue a blanket. Blue thought “That must be my bed.”
Blue lived there for three years. He taught himself how to speak English. But when he spoke English no one understood him. He felt like he had accomplished nothing. It was terrible for him. He felt left out. Blue wanted to learn the language they were speaking but he didn’t know what language it was. But he was about to find out.
After the man in rags came back from work Blue followed him to his room. In his room there was a laptop on his bed. Blue bit the laptop case and brought it to Blues bed. The zipper was already open so Blue bit the laptop carefully and got it out.
Blue had remembered that there was a bench on the street and people used to sit there and get out there laptop and type stuff like “What does ~~~~ mean.” So Blue turned on the laptop and went to Google and typed what does ven conmigo mean?
The laptop said ven conmigo means “Come with me in Spanish.” So Blue was off to learn Spanish. Blue taught himself to learn Spanish like he did English. Three years later he knew Spanish as good as he knew English.
After Blue knew English and Spanish he became famous because he was the first dog to speak English and Spanish. One sunny day the governor came to the man in rags house and asked to speak with Blue. The governor asked Blue if he would like to go back to the states with him. Blue imminently said yes. So Blue said his goodbyes to the man in rags and got on the plane.
While they were on the plane the governor talked to Blue about how long he lived at the man in rags house and how he learned English and Spanish. Blue just said that he remembered when people spoke to each other. Later Blue fell asleep and the plane crashed. When Blue woke up he was under the same old dirty tire and the people were on the same street and when Blue tried to talk to them they didn’t understand him because it was all just a dream.

Character = a photographer
Time – sometime in December
Situation = something embarrassing just happened
Place – a national forest

Once there was a photographer named John. He was 28 years old. John wanted to enter a contest for taking the best pictures there were. But he knew if he wanted to do that he would have to go somewhere rare. So he went to Africa, but he found nothing there. So he went to Asia instead. There he still found nothing but he did meet someone. He was a little boy named Shu. Shu was eight.

Shu had some problems, his arm was gone, he had no family, and he lived on the streets. So John decided to take him home. But what John didn’t know was you have to do a lot of paper work and pay a lot of money. So he didn’t take Shu home.

John did promise to pray for Shu and see him every year. Shu just smiled. So John left and went to America. When he was at the baggage pickup he felt like his bag was forty pounds more than it was before. When John got home he opened his bag and there was Shu.

Shu looked skinnier than he was before. John sent him back to Asia in the same suitcase after he gave him some food. John was so embarrassed. But John had work to do so he stopped thinking about Shu and went to a national forest down in Ohio.

This was a perfect place to take pictures. While John was in Ohio he took pictures of all sorts of animals. But his favorite animal was the monkeys. He saw some with black and brown colors, and some with a little yellow on their stomach. But he had to go back to his house because he knew it was late December and it was almost Christmas time. So John left to go back home.

John was tired. So when he got back home he went to his room to lie down. While John was asleep he was thinking “Tomorrow is Christmas so I better rest now”. When John got up he felt much better. Then he looked at the time, it was five o’clock. Good. Then he looked at the calendar and it was the twenty fourth. The twenty fourth said “contest”!!

John was thinking “what!” He didn’t know it was the day before Christmas. John read further, “contest starts at 4 o’clock.” John left immediately. It took him kind of a long time to get to the picture contest place, but to him it was worth it. When he got there he said “Is this the picture contest place.” The guy who was there said “Si.” This means “yes” in Spanish. John said “Do you speak English?” He answered, “Yes.”

John said “OK when does the contest start?” It was supposed to start at 4 o’clock, but it changed to 6 o’clock. It was only five thirty eight. So he got his pictures and the contest started. Everyone had very good pictures admitted John. But when it came to John’s turn everyone knew who would win. It was all because of the monkeys.
